This cult object consists of Egyptian and Roman elements mixed together. Thus the sphinx with its snake tail, necklace, three-fold crown and headscarf is an Egyptian synthesis whilst the griffin derives from the Greek Goddess Nemesis, the woman to the right is the Graeco-Roman Athena/Minerva. The inscription "may luck follow" is written in Greek.
