Cushion Cover Size: 34 x 32 cmwoven
95% cotton, 5% polyester
Exclusive, woven cushion cover inspired by a Tapestry from the Kunstkammer Vienna.
The cover shows a detail of the Tapestry "The Triumph of Fame over Death", from the six-part tapestry series "Triumphal Processions after Petrarca", which was fabricated after the allegoric poetry 'I Trionfi' by Petrarch (1304-1374) at the beginning of the 16th century. In the end, it is eternity that triumphs over love, chastity, death, fame and time. Here depicted, fame triumphs over death. The winged figure of Fame is accompanied by famous statesmen, poets and philosophers, among them Plato, Alexander, Homer, Cicero and Charlemange.
