Owl

The motiv of the owl is taken from a Skyphos, an antique drinking vessel, from the Collection of Greek and Roman Antiquities. The owl was the emblem of Athens and city's goddess Athene. The owl stood for wisdom, luck and was ascribed prophetic powers.
