Bulls, sacred to the creator-god Ptah were kept in the temple at Memphis and after death were em-balmed and buried. Like people they were given coffins, obelisks and grave goods. The brow of this figurine has a triangular impression for a gold or silver inlay. A white triangle on its brow was the sign of a sacred bull.
