AEOS 304
As the sacred animal of the god Horus, falcons were mummified and buried, for example, in a hollow falcon figure. Engraved in bronze are the feathers, the ornamental collar and an amulet. Occasionally this fine decorative work was inlaid with silver and gold. A suitable plate sealed up the rectangular opening in the underside of the tail.
